Welcome to second grade! 

My  name is Christina Self and I am excited for our year together.  This is my 31st year teaching for Portland Public Schools and my 13th year at Glencoe.  I have taught grades 1-5, but have spent all of my time in second grade since coming to Glencoe.  I love being here and have a deep appreciation for our school community.

I have spent nearly my entire life in Portland and attended Beaumont K-8 and graduated from Grant High School.  I went to Lewis and Clark College where I received my education degree.  I've been teaching in PPS ever since!  My husband and I live in Southeast Portland.  My interests include gardening, reading, music, traveling, and my dog Stanley.
